Best Solo Trip

One of my best solo trip was a 10 day stay at Lake Como.  I was invited to attend a wedding at one of the beautiful villas on the lake. How could I resist not going.  I was truly honored to be one of the few to be invited.  As I was planning my trip, I came across this beautiful quaint bed and breakfast, Palazzo Albricci Perrigrini. I immediately canceled my previous booking in exchange for an authentic experience in Como.

Charming Property in the Heart of Como

I love boutique hotels.  It may not have all the amenities of a big name brand hotel, but the personal touch is what I like.  And of course, hotels with bikes accessible to the guests is all it takes.   This was my deciding factor.  I trusted my instinct and stuck with my decision to stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of Como that I found on Booking.com.

With my excitement,  I immediately contacted the hotel and made arrangements to possibly collaborate with them in exchange for an Instagram and blogpost.  It all worked out!  I met with the owners, Max and Lidia the day I arrived.  I walked into a beautiful courtyard and  fell in love with the property.   At that moment, I  seemed to have been transported back in time.

A Memorable Memory

I truly enjoyed my stay at Palazzo Albricci Perrigrini.  One of my most memorable memory of this boutique hotel was a 4 course dinner with wine pairing in their courtyard.  Two other guests, Bruce and Carol from Santa Barbara joined me for dinner that evening.  We had a personal chef (a friend of Max and Lidia).  He prepared and explained every dish.  At the end of the evening, Max and Lidia joined us for an after dinner drink.  It was like visiting an Italian family in their home.  Our dinner was our last night.

I grew to love this place even more after getting to know Max and Lidia.  They made me feel so at home.  Even when I left to go to my airbnb, they still welcomed me and gave me access to the bikes even though I was no longer a guest. I cried when I left and Max offered to drive me to my airbnb.  Palazzo Albricci Perrigini will always have a place in my heart.
