I did it!  I just developed a new habit and it’s here to stay.  And so it’s time for a new one.  For years now I have lost the art of reading.  I used to love to read, but life got in the way.  Let’s face it, some of us would probably prefer to watch a TV show.  In my case, Netflix movies or Hallmark Channel is what I like to do to destress from a long day at work.

Having said that, I am proud of my new reading regimen.   I am now reading  thirty minutes when I get home to unwind and another thirty in the morning.  Of course, that thirty could always go beyond.  But, that’s okay.  At least I’m doing it!

I came across Brendon Burchard’s book after listening to Rachel Hollis’ podcast.  It was very interesting to listen to his thoughts about habits.  It just confirms the power of truly developing good habits and following through with it daily!  Since then, I am living by his words, “Awareness is the gate to change”.
